Welcome to Marylea Music

The home page of musician, composer, performer Marylea Lueth.

Marylea LuethWherever she performs, Marylea quickly develops a following.   Her fans have come to expect a high-energy presentation full of rock, blues, and jazz interrupted only by an occasional heart touching ballad that allows her audiences to experience life the way she does, at the extremes.

Marylea has been a social worker, a mediator, a corporate trainer, an over-the-road trucker, among other things, and is currently a high school teacher in Florida. Through all life's changes,  music has been her constant friend.  She has been playing guitar and singing for over 30 years, and began performing publicly and writing songs about 6 years ago. Drawing from her experiences, Marylea released her first CD, “Outside Chance” in 2005.   A collection of time-worn stories set to a warm acoustic backdrop, "Outside Chance" has been received by many as a refreshing bit of folksy music.

Influenced early on by musicians like James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, and Bob Dylan, Marylea has continued to grow musically, studying the works of artists like Chris Smither, Robert Cray, Delbert McClinton, Buddy Guy and others.   Marylea has just completed her second CD, "Someone Said" which is available through CD Baby and Kunaki.com.  Always a lover of the blues, this recent work is more in the jazzy/bluesy stylings that showcase her unique talents.

Whether as part of a band or a solo performance, Marylea Lueth presents her style of music to a participating and appreciative audience. The first time listener will become a fan who will want to know where she’s playing next. It doesn't need to get any better than that.
